To use the product, slide the TowTower into the hitch receiver of the motorhome and lock it into place with a pin. Lower the TowTower with a toggle switch, align, drive the vehicle forward and connect the vehicles. You raise the TowTower with the switch, connect safety chains, lights and braking equipment, and you’re ready for the road.
On the car, the second part of the mechanism is a base plate which you will need to have installed by a local provider. The base plate is bolted onto the underside of the uni-body frame of the vehicle being towed. Each base plate is to be manufactured and installed on your vehicle. Please reference the installation instructions that will accompany the Tow Tower when delivered. When ready to tow, all you have to do is slide the extension onto the base plate, lower the TowTower, drive the tow vehicle forward and connect the two vehicles. Make sure before lifting the tow vehicle that you have inserted all pins and attached the safety chains. On average, the Tow Tower saves time when hooking/unhooking as compared with the use of dolly towing.
Dolly towing has been a cumbersome method for many years; TowTower now streamlines that process. The product offers the ability to leave the lift in the hitch receiver of the motorhome during travel. Once the TowTower is connected, the method even allows a driver to back up for short the vehicle being towed to turn around.
